Please join us for our Annual General Meeting and Social. Alongside a small amount of admin, we will share some light refreshments and conversation, and hear about Newham’s Cycling Heritage from the wonderful Frames of Mind team. We have booked the Heronry Room at Aston-Mansfield Community Centre, Manor Park. Please let us know if you are coming (below) so that we have enough refreshments. Hope to see you there!
Frames of Mind (aka Zoe and Bo) are a participatory arts organization based in Newham, who received a £44,000 National Lottery Heritage Fund grant for their “Full Cycle” project, which explores the cycling history of Forest Gate. They have created a documentary film, archive, and cycling heritage trail. Their presentation at the Wanstead Tap was a sell-out. We are delighted that they have agreed to speak at our AGM about their fascinating journey and findings.
Aston-Mansfield Community Centre (formerly Froud Centre) is 10 minutes walk from Manor Park station. There is cycle parking outside and there are also stands on Romford Road/Toronto Avenue.
The centre is served by four buses and is a short walk from bus stops in both directions (Little Ilford Lane Stop B and Seventh Avenue Stop M):
25 (Central London – Stratford – Ilford)
86 (Stratford – Romford)
425 (Lower Clapton – Ilford)
W19 (Walthamstow – Ilford)
